Prof Dr Štefan Bojnec is Professor of Economics and Head of Department of Economics at the Faculty of Management, University of Primorska. He has participated in several national and international research projects. He was also a member of several expert groups, such as at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Commission, the United Nations (UN), the World Bank and the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ). In the years 1996-1997 he worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He has published his research in the leading journals. In 2008, he received the Slovenian state Zois recognition for important scientific achievements in the field of economics.
